Marriage is such a mysterious thing when you really think about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When I was younger, I believed that if two people loved each other, marriage would naturally follow. I thought love alone could carry a relationship through anything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But after seeing so many different lives, relationships, and journeys unfold, I\u2019ve come to realize that marriage isn\u2019t determined by love alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Timing matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And who you choose matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When those two things align, life has a way of moving forward naturally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The truth is, it\u2019s easy to compare ourselves to others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We see friends getting married, starting families, or stepping into new chapters of life, and sometimes it can feel as though we\u2019re falling behind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But life was never meant to follow the same timeline for everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Getting married earlier doesn\u2019t guarantee happiness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Being married doesn\u2019t automatically bring peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And not being married certainly doesn\u2019t mean a person is incomplete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That\u2019s why I believe the real question isn\u2019t, \u201cWhen will I get married?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The real question is, \u201cWhat kind of life do I truly want to create?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And sometimes, there are relationships that challenge us in unexpected ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You care deeply about someone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You don\u2019t want to walk away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Yet when you think about the future, something doesn\u2019t feel settled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You struggle to picture the road ahead together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In those moments, it may be worth asking yourself:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Am I truly happy?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Am I honoring my own needs?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Am I treating myself with the same love and care that I so freely give to others?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because marriage isn\u2019t the destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s a partnership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s choosing someone you can grow with, build with, and walk through life with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Someone who brings a sense of peace, trust, and stability when you think about the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Life doesn\u2019t always unfold the way we expect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some relationships don\u2019t become what we hoped they would be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some doors close despite our best efforts to keep them open.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But often, with time, we realize that even the experiences that broke our hearts were shaping us into who we were meant to become.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That\u2019s why I don\u2019t believe there\u2019s a reason to rush.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Marriage has its timing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Choosing the right person matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But before either of those things, there is something even more important:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Learning how to value yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Learning how to trust yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Learning how to build a life that feels meaningful to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because in the end, happiness isn\u2019t something another person gives us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s something we cultivate within ourselves and then choose to share.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So if the future feels uncertain right now, be gentle with yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The chapter you\u2019re living today is not the whole story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Life is often far more expansive, and far more beautiful, than we can see in the moment. \u2728\ud83c\udf39<\/p>\n\n\n\n
